George is one of the founding partners of the firm. He grew up in a rural property in New South Wales and, after completing high school, attended the University of Newcastle, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours.

He subsequently was granted admission to the University of Sydney Law School, where he qualified and was admitted in February 1977. He worked as an employee for a Sydney legal firm for some five years, both prior to and subsequent to his admission. He practiced primarily in the fields of personal injury litigation (including third-party workers’ compensation and public liability claims), conveyancing, commercial law and estates. He returned to the Newcastle area in 1980 and subsequently established the present firm in partnership with Peter Bale.
