Things your workers compensation insurer won’t tell you
If you’re hurt at work and you make a workers compensation claim here’s a few things the insurer won’t tell you:
- You can nominate which doctor you see. The employer can’t tell you what doctor to see.
- You don’t have to let the insurer, or any other person come to your doctor appointments with you.
- You don’t have to explain to your employer why you can’t do your job or your full job. That is what the medical certificate is for.
- You shouldn’t do anything at work that your certificate says you can’t do.
