PARTNER

Josh Hay is a lawyer working in our property, commercial and wills and estates teams. Josh has been practicing law for over nine years, joining Bale Boshev at the start of 2015 following time spent with a couple of larger Sydney firms.

From his Sydney experience, Josh gained varied exposure and had the opportunity of working on a number of high-profile due diligence projects, commercial contracts, real estate acquisitions and disposals and leasing deals. Since joining Bale Boshev, Josh has enjoyed working with our diverse client base, which includes not only corporate and small business clients but also mums and dads.

Whilst working in our property and commercial team, Josh’s work is varied and involves him working on conveyancing and property development matters, leasing (commercial, retail and industrial), liquor licensing and general commercial contract preparation and advice.

JOSH’S WORK

Josh’s work in our wills and estates team sees him regularly preparing wills, powers of attorney and appointments of enduring guardian documents for his private clients. He also undertakes all work associated with assisting executors in obtaining grants of probate, letters of administration and undertaking estate administration generally.

An increasing aspect of Josh’s work involves estate litigation, where he acts and advises executors, trustees, administrators, beneficiaries and other interest parties concerning estate disputes, including unfair wills and the seeking of family provision orders, contested probates and the validity of wills.

Josh takes a down-to-earth, pragmatic and commercially savvy approach which enables him to get the job done for his clients without fuss.

In Josh’s spare time, he enjoys any and all forms of travel, spending time at his family farm north of Newcastle and reading the odd novel whenever he gets the chance.
